‘31’-BOYLE AVENUE LINE (1927-1939)

 

Formed on trackage originally built for the rerouting of the Whittier Boulevard Line over the 9th Street (Olympic) Bridge during the rebuilding of the 7th Street Bridge over the Los Angeles River.

 

ROUTE: From E. 7th Street and Boyle Avenue, south on Boyle to E. 9th Street.

 

JULY 31, 1931 - Line combined with Eastside Shuttle Lines.

 

APRIL 3, 1938 - Separated from Eastside Shuttle Lines and operated as an individual line.

 

MAY 19, 1939: Renamed the ‘4’-Boyle Avenue Line.
