TEMPLE STREET LINE (1910-1920)

 

Formed from the Pacific Electric Railway’s Temple Street Line.

 

ROUTE:  From E. 1st and San Pedro Streets, west on 1st to Broadway, north on Broadway to Temple Street, northwest on Temple to Hoover, north on Hoover to Clinton Street, west on Clinton to Virgil Avenue, north on Virgil to Fountain Avenue, west on Fountain to Edgemont Street.

 

1912:  East end cut back to W. 1st and Broadway.

 

MAY 5, 1920:  Named the ‘T’-Line, with no change of route.

‘T’-TEMPLE STREET LINE (1920-1924)

 

Formed from the Temple Street Line May 9, 1920, with no change.

 

ROUTE.  From Spring and Temple Streets, west on Temple to N. Hoover Street, north on Hoover to Clinton Street, west on Clinton to Virgil Avenue, north on Virgil to Fountain Avenue, west on Fountain to Edgemont Street.

 

NOVEMBER 18, 1923:  Cut back to Temple Street and Belmont Avenue  The line west of here became part of the ‘C’-Crown Hill and Temple Street Line.

 

JULY 4, 1924:  Balance of the line, from Temple and Spring Streets west on Temple to Belmont Avenue, was also made part of the ‘C’-Line.
